Hi Bob, thanks for posting our pet therapy experience. We have been doing it about seven years now and love it.
There are other activities at nursing homes and ALF's that I would like to mention. For example: ice cream sundae social, usually held early in the afternoon. A good way to encourage families and kids to come by and visit and share an ice cream cone. Or how about "Happy Hour" usually after dinner on a Friday or Saturday, for the adults to be able to share a glass of wine or beer. Stan and I have seen these activities at the Bridge and Orange City nursing home.
Anyway... just some ideas... keep up the good work!
